My practice draws from over 15 years of working as a psychotherapist in the mental health and addiction field with children, adolescents and adults. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with a national and international certification as a Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomat (CCDP-D). Additionally, I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBTC) through the DBT National Certification Accreditation Association.
I specialize in treating individuals, couples, and families struggling with addiction, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, challenging life transitions and chronic medical issues. I utilize therapy as a vehicle to help people create the reality they want for themselves, especially when they are feeling stuck or disconnected from the life they would like to have.
My therapeutic approach is strength based, individualized and integrative. I use a number of therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).
